Article Submission Guidelines...

We are seeking fresh and interesting articles specific to banking, insurance, securities and/or marketing that would be helpful to those visiting our web site. If you, your organization or web site have related articles, consider sharing your content as a chance to expand your exposure among our visitors.

Who Is Eligible To Send Articles?

We welcome contributions with original content from BISA Member individuals and organizations. You can submit once, or become a regular contributor, or just submit articles whenever you have material ready.

What We Are Looking For?

The BISM Online provides information, analysis and insights to a broad spectrum of key industry participants including:

  • Front line bank securities and insurance sales professionals and their managers,
  • Key technology, operations, financial and compliance executives,
  • Heads of bank securities, investment, capital markets and insurance programs,
  • Senior financial institution executives at banks of all sizes, and
  • Key executives in the firms that support the bank securities/investment products industry.

BISM Online editorial is written by industry leaders for the industry. A wide range of independent industry experts and sources contribute articles. The BISM Online works with these experts to create an "online forum" for the industry.

The mission of the BISM Online is to educate, inform, and challenge financial service professionals.

What We Do NOT Want To See

Press releases or articles from commercial news media organizations. BISA provides its primary contacts at member firms with a Daily E-mail News Service. BISM Online is not intended to provide a substitute for this service. Rather, it is intended to provide industry professionals and peers with an in-depth resource.

Articles endorsing commercial products, services or companies are discouraged.

What Authors Get In Return

  • Exposure for you and/or your organization. A link to your article is sent to our e-mail distribution list of some 7500 names.
  • At the bottom of each article there will be a link to your site (if you have one) with a brief description about yourself, your organization or your site. This is a great way to expand your online presence.
  • For increased exposure, click here.
  • Keep Your Copyright. We just want your permission to use your content on BISM Online. By submitting your content, you give us permission. All posted non-link articles (content resides on the bisanet.org server) will contain a copyright notice.

Editorial Process

Submissions are reviewed within four weeks and if accepted will appear in BISM Online. BISA reserves the right to reject any article submissions (or links) that are deemed inappropriate or irrelevant. All articles are edited for length, content, and/or other appropriate reasons.

Submission Format

We prefer to receive articles in Microsoft Word format, but can accept other formats. We reformat all articles into our own template. Therefore, use as little formatting as possible, but clearly distinguish among subheads, text, code, and so on.

We encourage authors to include suitable graphics, tables, or charts to help readers, to illustrate points, and to increase the utility of their article.

Also submit with your article:

  • Your three-sentence bio. It may include your email address and/or website link if you would like readers to be able to contact you.
  • Complete contact information — name, email address, phone, and website link (optional)
  • Your interest to be contacted by BISA regarding additional article exposure opportunities.
