Track I — Wealth Management
This is the segment of the market where many institutions are focusing the bulk of their efforts. Sessions in this track will address key topics related to the Wealth Management market.
Session A [Track Session A] (1:45-2:45) Approaching a "Fee Based" Model
This panel will discuss approaches to a fee based program, including how to reconcile or blend traditional brokerage and RIA models.
Session B [Track Session B] (3:00-4:00) What the Market Wants
This session will look at the needs and wants of wealthy consumers based on recent research reports.

 

 

 

Track II — Retirement
Retirement income management will continue to be a key driver of our industry for the foreseeable future. BISA presents two very different sessions related to this market.
Session A [Track Session A] (1:45-2:45) Financial Advisor Panel — Perspectives on Retirement Income Solutions and Support
This panel of FinancialAdvisors who specialize in the Retirement Market will discuss how they successfully address this market and their views as to the product, systems and training support required to make other reps successful.Moderator will present relevant results of the BISA annual Rep Retirement Survey and have reps relate their experiences.
Session B [Track Session B] (3:00-4:00) Case Study — An Innovative Approach to Retirement Income Solutions
Recognizing the market need and opportunity, United Nations FCU, through its wholly owned subsidiary UNFCU Financial Advisors, has developed a specialized retirement portal to conveniently deliver income products and related solutions to its customers in the US and has partnered with other financial institutions to provide the service to their customers as well.

 

 

 

Track III — Legislative, Regulatory & Compliance
Picking up where the morning's general session left off, these sessions will provide the opportunity to drill down deeper on specific issues with BISA General Counsel John Hartigan and other experts.
Specific areas of focus will be determined based on the current industry events and specific member concerns.

 

 

 

Track IV — Technology
Michael Weiss will moderate this track and look at some of the practical business opportunities and implications of technology applications from the bottom up and top down.
Session A [Track Session A] (1:45-2:45) Changing Technology Solutions — How the Viable B/D Outsourcing Options Are Growing

Session B [Track Session B] (3:00-4:00) Making Technology Work for Your Advisors
With a plethora of outstanding tools available, the greatest obstacle is often getting advisors to use the right tools effectively. This panel will discuss how some organizations are having success in this area and the resulting positive impact on clients, advisors and firm performance.

 

 

 

Track V — Insurance
This track will include two different topics, each addressing a very different aspect of Insurance — "The 'I' in BISA."
Session A [Track Session A] (1:45-2:45) Case Study: Selling to the Middle Market Using Insurance as a Lead Product
Hear how M&T Financial Consultants have successfully teamed with middle market commercial bankers to a total package of bankers, investment and insurance products to employers and their employees.
Session B [Track Session B] (3:00-4:00) HSAs
This panel will address how some institutions are starting to have success integrating HSA's into their product offerings.
