Call for Proposal

BISA is pleased to announce the return of the BISA CEO Retreat, June 7-9, 2017, at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Chicago, IL.  

The 2017 CEO Retreat, designed for top CEOs of financial institutions in the bank insurance and securities industry, will build upon the successful launch of the event in 2016. Attendees of the 2017 CEO Retreat will experience abundant time for networking and peer-learning in an interactive and academic environment. The event is designed to be the premier financial services industry event by providing high-value information, education and exclusive networking opportunities to select industry CEOs. BISA is excited to announce that The University of Chicago Booth School of Business to lead an interactive session on High-Performance Leadership, Effective Communication and Leading with Innovative and Entrepreneurial Thinking. The Booth classroom sessions will be closed, but Platinum Consultants are invited to attend the networking and social events.

Session Proposal

As part of our Retreat curriculum, BISA is offering our Platinum Consultant members the opportunity to submit a proposal to lead a 30-minute breakfast presentation/discussion with the CEO attendees either on Thursday or Friday morning.

Online submissions must be completed and returned to BISA by Wednesday, May 3rd to be considered for one of these available slots. Each proposal will be reviewed and approved for selection by the CEO Retreat Committee. Please note that we will be unable to consider any proposals submitted after the Wednesday, May 3rd deadline.

The CEO Retreat Committee invites proposals that:

  • Reflect innovation and cutting edge content
  • Provide advanced content for industry leaders
  • Stimulate and provoke discussion and audience engagement
  • Provide content that is solution-oriented and provides best practices
  • Present evidence based on or supported by research

Education themes include:

  • Personal Development -- An advance management program that provides executive leaders with the skills and tools to advance their personal and professional career development, especially leadership
  • Applicable Learning -- A classroom experience that offers practical models or guidelines that encourage participants to translate their new knowledge to their own work environment
  • Organizational Alignment and Development -- A focused on creating and sustaining successful teams by better understanding how teams function and navigate cultural changes within the financial industry

Topics of interest discussed with the CEO Retreat Committee:

  • Macroeconomic Outlook
  • Product and Service Development for Financial Services
  • Business Model Innovation
  • Decision Making Under Uncertainty
  • Strategic Risk Management

We encourage you to work with your peers on session proposals. For proposals to be considered, they MUST be fully completed with no TBDs or NAs. Only complete, well-thought out and forward thinking proposals will be accepted.  Product pitches will not be considered.
  
BISA does not offer monetary compensation to speakers. Speakers will be offered complimentary registration and one hotel night. 

The call for proposals will be open through Wednesday, May 3rd. Accepted speakers will be notified the second week of May.

BISA would like to thank the CEO Retreat Committee for their work in reviewing session proposals and development of the final educational program.
