Session Description:  For broker dealers, the sudden end of the Bull Market and collapse in interest rates makes the current environment the Perfect Storm. Between the RIA and Robo options, the broker dealer operating model is struggling for relevance with both advisors, existing investors and the next generation.  Separately, the business model is being massively challenged by lower net interest spreads, rampant fee discounting, falling AUMs and rising advisor payouts.  In addition to empowering advisors and supporting compliance, ATA RiskStation™ can also help broker dealer executives to create new recurring revenue streams to help offset their firms’ severe margin compression.

Session Description: Navigating the recent growth in technology that advisors use on a daily basis to operate their business and provide advice to clients is difficult in the best of times. As Doug Wardley, Vice President of Product Strategy for LPL Financial, noted in a recent Copytalk webinar, the financial services industry has seen such a growth of new technologies that “we’re living in an era of confusion.”

Between client relationship management (CRM), portfolio management, rebalancing, and financial planning tools – it can be challenging for financial advisors and wealth management firms as a whole to master this technology while doing the other items on their plates. Now, as the COVID-19 crisis presents firms with new challenges such as the majority of employees working from home, understanding the platforms and tools available has become even more crucial – as has choosing which ones are right for you and your firm.

This webinar session will highlight best practices and solutions for leveraging the advisor desktop in the current work-from-home environment and beyond. We’ll discuss how technology, advice, and financial planning intersect on the rapidly changing digital desktop, which gives advisors the tools they need to better manage their client's portfolios, facilitate communications, easily view data and analytics, and ensure adequate documentation for regulatory compliance, including adhering to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s upcoming Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI).

Best of all, the solutions and best practices that we discuss will help advisors and their firms navigate the pandemic, but their applicability is not limited to it. Rather, even as workers start to return to the office, our forward-looking advice will continue to help wealth managers leverage the advisor desktop during this new environment, whatever that may be.
